Lower costs with the NEW MICRA DIG-S 01.08.2011 09:00:00 - Corporate - News

New MICRA DIG-S offers fuel efficiency and tax savings

For businesses looking for a low-cost eco-friendly city car solution, Nissan will be launching the new MICRA DIG-S on the 1st September which is the first production vehicle powered by a three-cylinder engine with Direct Injection and a Supercharger (DIG-S).

The 1.2 three-cylinder engine is one of a small number of petrol engines that is exempt from both road fund license and London’s congestion charge, as well as being one of the cleanest petrol engines in the world.  The combination of Direct Injection technology and Supercharger enables the MICRA DIG-S to offer levels of economy and performance previously only obtainable from diesel engines, which are typically associated with a significant price premium.

MICRA DIG-S offers:

•    Idle Stop/Start technology
•    95 g/km CO2 on entry-grade  VISIA , 99g/km CO2 on Acenta & Tekna (Manual)
•    68.9mpg (Combined) on entry-grade VISIA (Manual)
•    98PS
•    Rear spoiler as standard

The NEW MICRA DIG-S represents yet another excellent addition to the Nissan PURE DRIVE range of vehicles which emit less than 140g/km CO2 and benefit from a host of fuel-efficient technologies. Nissan’s PURE DRIVE ranges from the low cost Pixo city car to the class leading NV200 van, offering businesses a number of eco-friendly options across Nissan’s diverse range of cars and vans.

The MICRA DIG-S is available for pre-order from the 1st August and represents an easy solution for businesses requiring a compact car that offers significant cost savings and improved driver performance, whilst being better for the environment.
