Well, maybe not that. But we do want to say hello. Because as a multi-national business, we’re everywhere with busy plants in practically in every continent in the world.
So we like to get to know our neighbours. That’s why we contribute to local economies, help promote local sports and culture, and help out where we can with environmentally-conscious production activities.
We also do ‘conduct tours’ so everyone can get to know us, so do pop in if you’re passing.
OK it’s not Beijing. But one thing's for sure, the NISSAN Cup Oppama Championship, a full-fledged marathon for over 200 wheelchair-bound athletes, (including some of the best athletes from Japan) is as exciting as any Olympic event and we were thrilled and honoured to provide the course on our plant premises. Over 500 employees are on hand to help out, and promote our "Taiyo Fund," which encourages employees to give donations to any disabled athletic organisation they wish.
