Nissan LEAF is the most environment friendly car ever; it produces no CO2 emissions, is partly made of recycled components and reuses or recycles more than 95% of the components of the electric battery at its end of life.
Nissan LEAF is made of a considerable amount of recycled materials and is recyclable more than 95%. Thus, once the car reaches its end of life, the interior and exterior car parts are partly recycled.
Additionally, Nissan is working on giving the LEAF's lithium ion battery a second life. This battery could be used for other electrically powered vehicles such as fork lift trucks. Afterwards, the battery is dismantled and its components can be used again.
