Nissan LEAF is partly made of recyclable materials such as old bumpers, plastic bottles and old back seats. When Nissan LEAF has reached its end of life more than 95% of the interior and exterior car parts can be reused.

Nissan recycles the battery of your electric car

Additionally, Nissan is working on giving the LEAF's lithium ion battery a second life. This battery could be used for other electrically powered vehicles such as fork lift trucks. Afterwards, the battery is dismantled and its components can be used again.
