Is a reservation the same as an order?
No, a LEAF reservation is not a vehicle order. It is a way for you, by showing your interest in LEAF and placing a deposit, to ensure you have the option to order the Nissan LEAF once dealers start taking orders. You have no obligation to subsequently place an order for a Nissan LEAF and may choose to cancel your reservation at any time for a full refund. Your reservation will cease once you sign a purchase agreement with your Nissan dealer and at this time your order will be placed.

What happens to my deposit?
Your deposit will be sent to Nissan Europe to reserve your place in the queue. Once the Nissan LEAF dealer network has been finalized, you will be invited to choose from which dealer you would like to take delivery. Once you have signed a purchase agreement with this dealer, your deposit will be automatically transferred to this dealer.

Will these orders give me a number in the queue (i.e will I know I am “number 14”?)
No, you will receive a reservation ID which will uniquely identify your reservation but will not give you your exact position in the queue.

Is my reservation transferable to third parties?
No, your reservation is personal and not transferable; once you decide to cancel your reservation you will lose your place in the queue.

Does the price include the battery pack?
Yes, the total vehicle price includes the battery pack.

Is this a finance-only program, or will purchases be allowed?
Outright purchase will be available.
However we recommend you consider Nissan’s PCP finance plan which allows you to own your own vehicle with the peace of mind of a guaranteed minimum future value, while keeping the benefit of low monthly payments.

Can I reserve a Nissan LEAF at my Nissan dealer?
No, the only way to reserve a Nissan LEAF is online.

At the moment of reservation, do I already have to indicate where I want my Leaf to be delivered?
No, There is no immediate need for you to decide on the exact Dealer name; you will be asked to select your dealer later in the process. On the other hand, we ask you to note the regions covered by our Nissan LEAF dealer network.

If I reserve now, when will I get my Nissan LEAF?
Deliveries will start in March 2011. The date on which you will receive your LEAF will depend on how early you reserve and your place in the queue. Once you select your Nissan LEAF dealer, they will be able to give you an estimated delivery date before you sign the purchase agreement.

What if I want to change the colour or specification of my Nissan LEAF?
You will be given the opportunity to change the colour, specification or modify your personal details once you have been contacted by your dealer and when you sign the purchase agreement.

How will I be informed on possible changes in the status of my reservation?
You will be informed by means of emails and contacted by your dealer once you have entered the purchase agreement

Can I cancel a reservation?
Yes, at any time before a purchase agreement is signed, you can cancel your reservation online using the 'Manage my Reservation' functionality. You will need to enter your email address and your order reference, and select Cancel. You may be called back by our customer service centre to expedite the process of refunding the reservation deposit back onto your credit card. Remember that if you change your mind again, you will have to re-place your order and will go to the end of the queue.

What guarantee is there that I will get a refund?
Your deposit will be transferred into a dedicated bank account and will not be touched or used for other purposes until you enter a purchase agreement with your dealer, at which point it will be sent to your chosen dealer.
In case of cancellation, the deposit will be transferred back to your bank account.

How do I know that your process is an official “credit card safe” one?
Nissan uses our payment service provider WorldPay to guarantee the security of your payment.
Your credit card details are accepted through the SSL protocol. All transactions are secured, powered by 128-bit SSL encryption capable of processing credit card transactions insuring that the information is encrypted before it is transmitted.
You can check this by the URL on the payment page in your browser (it starts with https://) or by the "lock" icon, in the lower right corner of your browser.
The name BIBIT may appear on your bank or credit card statement.

Can I reserve several Nissan LEAF?
Yes, but each reservation will require a separate deposit and will be managed separately. If you want to reserve a fleet of LEAF, please contact our fleet sales representatives (see the Fleet tab on the main Nissan LEAF page on this site) who will be happy to discuss with you.
