As a partner of ParalympicsGB for the Rio 2016 Paralympic cycle, Nissan wanted to take its expertise in automotive innovation and make a tangible impact on an athlete’s performance at the Paralympic Games, specifically with ParalympicsGB cyclist David Stone MBE. David is a three-time Paralympic gold medallist and with Nissan’s help is looking to defend his London 2012 Road Race title in Rio with his bespoke designed & built frame. This tricycle is commercially available through Nissan Motor GB & Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK Ltd.

The Frame

The frame provides the rider with stiffness where it matters yet retains a compliant and light ride. A common RR triangle integrated to traditional front triangle design enables a variety of riders to benefit from the set up.

International Compliance

All frames comply with the latest UCI regulations.

Availability

The equipment outlined is manufactured in the UK to order and consequently lead time from order to delivery can sometimes be long.

Prices

The frames for David were developed using cutting edge engineering techniques & the associated research & development was joint funded by Nissan Motor GB Ltd. & Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK Ltd.

Due to the low volumes of frames produced, the fabrication methods & the use of the very best quality materials the price of these items is in line with their specialist nature.
