“Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Recall Campaign on approximately 7,376 Qashqai, Qashqai+2 and NV200 models in the UK, following concerns about the strength of the steering wheel.
The cars were built between 27 February 2012 and 16 May 2012. The steering wheel will be checked to see if it is one of a batch which is affected. If necessary the wheel will be replaced. The operation will take less than 20 minutes.
Nissan will be contacting affected customers, but anyone who is concerned about their vehicle should contact their dealer or call Nissan customer services on 01923 899334.
Alternatively, you will be able to check if your vehicle is affected by registering or logging in to You+ Nissan. www.nissan.co.uk/YouPlus. This dedicated customer portal will alert you when you log-in by matching your Vehicle Identification Number to those vehicles which are affected.
(You can download the ‘how to’ guide here).
Nissan is committed to the highest level of customer safety, service and satisfaction and is working with its dealers to promptly address this issue.”
