NISSAN'S LEAF BATTERIES

GUARANTEED HIGH PERFORMANCE, MORE PEACE OF MIND

NISSAN LEAF OWNERS RECEIVE A BATTERY WARRANTY EXTENSION

Resulting from 20 years of experience and investment, Nissan LEAF's lithium-ion batteries are compact, powerful, safe and durable. The battery is located under the car, which means you have more room in the boot and the cabin while still enjoying a long range. You can go up to 124 miles on a single charge with the Nissan LEAF 24 kWh battery and 155 miles with the Nissan LEAF 30kWh battery.* And true to Nissan LEAF's minimal environmental impact, the lithium-ion battery is also more than 95% recyclable.

EXTENDING YOUR PEACE OF MIND Nissan is so confident in our revolutionary lithium–ion battery that we are expanding your warranty over a period of 8 years or 100,000 miles (for Nissan LEAF 30kWh) and over a period of 5 years or 60,000 miles (for Nissan LEAF 24kWh). That means a guaranteed high performance.

HOW TO CHARGE YOUR NISSAN LEAF

ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING COULDN'T BE EASIER

Most Nissan LEAF owners charge their cars at home. Nissan recommend using a home charging unit which can charge from 0% to 100% in as little as 4 hours for 24kWh LEAF, or 5.5 hours for 30kWh LEAF. You can also use the supplied EVSE (Electric Vehicle Standard Equipment) cable, which can be plugged into a standard domestic socket and charges from 0% to 100% in under 12 hours for 24kWh LEAF or 15 hours for 30kWh LEAF.

The fastest way to charge your LEAF, however, is by using a rapid charger, which can charge from 0% to 80% in under 30 minutes. More information on these charging types can be seen below.

CHARGE FROM HOME

ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING CABLES

Your Nissan LEAF comes with a 6 metre long cable, which allows you to recharge your battery using a standard household socket* in approximately 12 hours for 24kWh LEAF and 15 hours for 30kWh LEAF. The cable can also be used at many public charging stations throughout the UK (separate subscriptions may apply).

If you have the upgraded 6.6kW on-board charger, you will receive both cables (the EVSE cable as well as the Mode 3 Type 2 cable). This opens up access to a larger range of public charging stations and allows a 0 to 100% charge in 4 hours for 24kWh LEAF or 5.5 hours for 30kWh LEAF when using a 32 amp home charger or 7kW public charging point.

* A standard domestic socket for home charging must be on a dedicated circuit and must meet all current regulations.

INSTALL YOUR HOME CHARGER

A “wallbox” is a quick and easy way to charge the Lithium-ion battery of your Nissan LEAF. Once installed by a professional electrician, it gives you full charge in approximately 7 hours for 24kWh LEAF or 9.5 hours for 30kWh LEAF. Should you wish to upgrade your LEAF from the standard 3.3kW on-board charger to the 6.6kW, (allowing a 0% to 100% charge in 4 hours for 24kWh LEAF or 5.5 hours for 30kWh LEAF) you must also apply for the upgraded 30 amp Home Charger to benefit.

Your local dealer will refer you to one of our Home Charger suppliers who will provide you with a precise quote. The installation comes with a warranty and also gives you access to a helpline.

CHARGE YOUR VEHICLE ON THE GO

0% TO 80% IN 30 MINUTES USING RAPID CHARGERS

Rapid Charging at electric car charging stations allows a LEAF to charge from 0% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes.  Available across almost the entire UK motorway network, you can also find them in Nissan Dealerships, IKEA and Waitrose, plus various other locations.

Nissan recommend the use of the Ecotricity Electric Highway, which provides access to a wide range of Rapid Chargers to help you on those longer journeys.
