HOW TO GET THIS OFFER

Step 1: Purchase your Nissan EV and PodPoint home charger from a participating dealership between 1st September 2023 and 15th January 2024

Step 2: Change your electricity supply to EDF if you aren’t already a customer. The GoElectric Overnight tariff offers super cheap off-peak rates of just 8p per kwh to power your electric car and home appliances for less.

Step 3: Claim the 10,000 Free Miles offer, via your Pod Point offer email

Step 4: Your offer credit will be applied to your account within two calendar months of a successful claim

Our GoElectric Overnight tariff requires a smart meter, if you don’t already have one EDF can arrange for one to be installed, simply go to your MyAccount to book your installation.

If you’re new to EDF you’ll initially join on the GoElectric Single Rate tariff whilst they take over your supply and connect* to (or install) your smart meter. Once this is done you can switch to GoElectric Overnight to start receiving peak and off-peak rates.

WHO CAN CLAIM THIS OFFER?

Offer is valid between 1st September 2023 – 15th January 2024. Available to UK residents (excluding Northern Ireland).

Offer open to New Nissan ARIYA, LEAF or Townstar EV customers via any Nissan Dealership

To be eligible, you must have purchased from an authorised Nissan dealership between 1st September 2023 and 3rd January 2024 (via Nissan Finance or with cash) a new Nissan LEAF or ARIYA, a Pod Point 7KW Solo 3 charger with standard installation and claimed the offer by 15th February 2024.

Private EV customers only. EV homecharger offer available to eligible residential customers only.

To apply, and following your EV and Pod Point transaction, you will receive an EDF Welcome email from Pod Point, which you may use to register for the Free Miles promotion.

These details will be reconciled against Nissan and Pod Point sales data for the purposes of offer approval.

Only one GoElectric Overnight tariff offer application may be made per qualifying New Nissan ARIYA, LEAF or Townstar EV .

You must also have a compatible smart meter installed at your property.

Once registered successfully for Go Electric and once Pod Point have confirmed installation of the wall charger, Nissan and EDF will credit your account with £228.56, which is the equivalent of 10,000 driving miles when charging using off-peak usage.

The free miles credit will be applied to your account within 2 months of a successful claim.

WHY DO YOU NEED A SMART METER?

Your smart meter tells us how much electricity you’re using during peak and off-peak hours, so we can ensure you’re billed correctly at the unique kWh rates and to allow EDF to credit you against the Nissan Free off peak KWh.

HOW CAN I TELL WHAT TYPE OF METER I HAVE?

Don’t worry, EDF will check this when you register and let you know. If they need to install a compatible smart meter, EDF can sort this out for you as part of the switching process. This will depend on smart meter installation availability at the time.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T HAVE A COMPATIBLE SMART METER?

If you don’t already have a compatible smart meter, you can still sign up to the EDF Anytime (single-rate) tariff while you wait for your smart meter to be installed. You can book a smart meter installation through EDF MyAccount. EDF will also send you an email reminder to get your smart meter at this time. The average wait time for a smart meter appointment is around 2-4 weeks. However, in some areas of the country, this may take longer. Once you have a compatible meter, you can switch over to our GoElectric tariff, with 8p per kWh off-peak rates. If you’re unable to get a compatible smart meter installed or if there are any communication issues with your smart meter sending us the data we need, then a oneoff credit of £228 will be applied to your account after all avenues to connect your smart meter have been exhausted.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MOVE HOME?

If you move home during the term of your tariff, you can simply arrange to take the tariff with you by contacting EDF directly at GoElectric@edfenergy.com. If your new home doesn’t have a compatible smart meter, they can arrange for one to be installed as part of your home move. Before you have a smart meter installed, ’ll they’ll need to move you onto the GoElectric Anytime (single rate) tariff as part of your home move switch and once the smart meter has been installed, you’ll be able to go back on to the GoElectric tariff by contacting EDF directly. The original tariff end date will still apply. If we can’t install a smart meter at your new home, EDF will need to move you onto the single rate version of the GoElectric Anytime tariff for the remainder of your tariff contract. The great news is that EDFs GoElectric tariff has no exit fees, so if you wish to change tariffs at any time you can.

DOES THE 2,857KWH OF FREE OFF-PEAK POWER ONLY APPLY TO THE VEHICLE CHARGING?

No, this off-peak free kWh offer applies to any electricity used by a household, including vehicle charging during the hours of between 12am to 5am GMT) every day.

ARE THERE ANY EXIT FEES ON THE GOELECTRIC TARIFF?

There are no exit fees if you want to leave the GoElectric tariff.

HOW LONG IS THE GOELECTRIC TARIFF FIXED FOR?

The energy prices of the GoElectric tariff will be fixed until the end date of the tariff, which will always be a minimum of 12 months. You can find out the current GoElectric tariff end date by getting a quote today.

¹ This offer will provide the following to qualifying customers:

10,000 driving miles, equating to an energy value of 2,857kWh and a monetary value of £228.56 including VAT*, credited to the customer’s electricity bill upon EDF verification of the qualifying criteria as being fulfilled. (*The 10,000 miles is calculated on an average driving efficiency of 3.5 miles per kWh of charge and EDF’s GoElectric Overnight tariff’s current off-peak rate kWh price of 8p/kWh (correct as of 21st August 2023) (the “Offer”)

Only customers fulfilling all the following criteria at the time the Offer is requested will qualify for the Offer:

a. Offer is open to customers purchasing new battery electric vehicle (BEV) via any Nissan authorised Dealership only.

b. The customer already has their domestic electricity supplied by EDF or switches to electricity supplied by EDF;

c. The customer has signed a cash purchase, personal contract purchase, hire purchase, hire or personal contract hire agreement with a Nissan authorised Dealership / Nissan Finance (RCI Financial Services Limited trading as Mobilize Financial Services) as a private residential customer between 21st August – 15th January 2024 for a Nissan BEV to be supplied by an authorised Nissan Dealership in Great Britain.

d. The customer has purchased a Pod Point Ltd Solo3 7kW home charger with standard installation as part of their Nissan BEV purchase or hire agreement between 21st August – 15th January, 2024;

e. The customer has requested the Free 10,000 offer no later than 15th February 2024 following signing a purchase or hire agreement contract for a BEV via a main Nissan authorised Dealership / Nissan Finance on or before 15th January, 2024.

Offer is not transferable and no cash equivalent will be offered.

The purchase or hire agreement for a BEV must be entered into between the customer and the Nissan authorised Dealership/ Nissan Finance. EDF has no liability for the BEV , any other goods and services provided to the customer under any agreement with Nissan’s authorised dealer or Nissan Finance . If upon completing the offers verification process Nissan Motor (G.B) Limited does not verify your BEV purchase to EDF, it is the responsibility of the customer to make contact with Nissan authorised Dealership to challenge any decision.

The purchase and/or installation of the Pod Point Solo3 7kW home charger is entered into between the customer and Pod Point Ltd. EDF has no liability for the goods and services provided to the customer under any agreement with Pod Point Ltd. If upon completing the offers eligibility verification process Pod Point Ltd does not verify your installation to EDF, it is the responsibility of the customer to make contact with Pod Point Ltd to challenge any decision.

Only one Offer will be made per qualifying customer and/or household.

This Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer currently available from EDF Energy.

This Offer ends on 15th January 2024 (the “End Date”).

EDF reserves the right to extend, revoke, amend or replace this offer with immediate effect. If this offer is revoked, amended, or replaced; EDF shall publish notice and/or the amended terms and conditions on their relevant customer facing webpage(s).

The amount will be credited onto your electricity account within two calendar months from the date the form is submitted subject to satisfaction of the qualification criteria set out in paragraph 2.0 and Nissan Motor (GB) and Pod Point Ltd verifying your purchase of a Nissan BEV and purchase with standard installation of a Pod Point Solo3 7kW home charger.

⁴ EDF will do their best to connect to your smart meter. However, in some circumstances beyond their control, they may not be able to connect. If this is the case, you can either stay on the GoElectric Single Rate tariff, change your EDF tariff, or if you decide to leave EDF, don’t worry; they won’t charge you an exit fee in this situation. You’ll still receive the 10,000 free miles credit of £228.56 on your account.
