Vehicle Recall
Leaf (ZE1) Vehicle Control Module (VCM) – SAFETY RECALL NOTIFICATION
As part of our process of continuous improvement at Nissan, we have identified a potential safety concern with your Nissan LEAF.
Nissan has identified a concern affecting the Vehicle Control Module (VCM) software logic following routine internal testing. In specific and rare circumstances, after switching off cruise control and then within a certain timeframe changing the drive mode whilst quickly applying the throttle there is a possibility of temporary unintended acceleration. Applying the brakes will decelerate the vehicle.
What action should you take?
Book your vehicle in online, and follow the on screen instructions choosing your preferred dealer and selecting the heading "Recall Appointment" in Step 3. Our technicians will conduct a procedure which will take around 1 hour to complete, free of charge.
If you no longer own the vehicle, we would be grateful if you could help us trace the current owner by scanning the QR code on the bottom of the letter you will also have received and providing their details.
Under the terms and conditions of the Code of Practice on Safety Recalls, the response rate to this recall is being closely monitored by both the Department of Transport's Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency and Nissan.
