Nissan intelligent mobility
Imagine a whole new driving experience, moving through life with greater exhilaration, confidence, and connection to the world around you. This is Nissan Intelligent Mobility, and it’s already a reality in Nissan's you can drive today – in cars that park themselves, watch what’s happening around you, and step in to keep you out of trouble. Now imagine a near future with cars that can actually learn from one another, and Electric Vehicles that recharge as they drive along, no strings attached. Nissan Intelligent Mobility is making all this, and more, part of a bold, bright tomorrow.
Together we ride
Soon, your car will be able to take the stress out of driving and leave only the joy. It will pick you up, navigate heavy traffic, and find parking all on its own. And at the push of a button, it gives you back control of the wheel. It will even be able to communicate with other cars and pedestrians. Nissan is testing advanced autonomous driving on public roads today, which means this revolutionary driving experience is within reach.
With new Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies, the New Nissan LEAF shares some of the driving tasks so you can let go of stress and enjoy the ride. Out on the highway, ProPILOT automatically keeps pace with the flow of traffic, transforming your morning commute into a pleasant way to start the day. Nissan Intelligent Mobility makes easy work of tight parking spots, too. Just push the ProPILOT Park button and watch the New Nissan LEAF glide effortlessly into the parking space.*
Many Nissans are already equipped with technologies that look out for you, monitor the situation, and in some cases even step in to save the day.

Smile While You Drive
The e-Pedal gives you a fun, easy way to drive using only the accelerator pedal to start, accelerate, decelerate, and stop. For instant acceleration, press down on the accelerator pedal. Lift off the pedal, and e-Pedal reacts as if you stepped on the brake pedal – slowing down the vehicle, and in some cases bringing it to a complete stop.
A NEW FORM OF EV
With Nissan’s e-POWER system, experience the ride of your life with instant torque and a quieter, smoother drive without worrying about charging the battery.
The innovative 100% electric motor drive system builds on the EV technology we perfected in the Nissan LEAF, but adds a petrol engine to generate electricity, taking you even further.
NEXT GENERATION EXCITEMENT
Nissan made its debut in the ABB FIA Formula E Championships in 2018, putting our skill, creativity & technology up against some of the best in the industry. This global all-electric racing series on track is the ultimate test of instant acceleration and agile handling, which is central to Nissan’s EV driving ethos.
Together we empower
A connected ecosystem of drivers, cars, and communities is key to a cleaner and safer world. Nissan is playing a central role in defining what the roads of the future will look like, from autonomous cars to traffic management systems to car sharing. Seamless Autonomous Mobility (SAM), for example, is a system designed to make autonomous cars smarter with every trip. It uses human mobility managers to help autonomous cars deal with the unexpected, like construction zones, then share what they have learned with other cars in the system – a case of human and artificial intelligence creating a sense of community on the road.
As a leader in charging infrastructure, Nissan has more than 2300 quick charge stations in Europe, with this number predicted to reach 5500 by 2020. Nissan is committed to making sustainable driving as accessible as possible and is using a collaborative partnership approach with innovative companies.
Nissan is piloting the effectiveness of the vehicle to grid system (V2G) in different European countries, before a wider deployment all across Europe. As well as accessing renewable energy, drivers can connect their electric vehicles to the grid during cheap-tariff periods, and can use the electricity stored in the vehicle’s battery either at home, while driving, or even for selling back to the grid.
Nissan and OVO Energy are working together to deploy vehicle-to-grid chargers at homes across mainland UK as part of the world’s first large-scale domestic vehicle-to-grid trial.
