Nissan Qashqai 2026 Owners Manual
8.9.3. Recommendations for towing four-wheel drive (4WD) models

If for safety reasons the vehicle must be moved off the road on its own wheels, towing is permitted only for a maximum distance of 100m (330 ft) and at a maximum speed of 20 km/h (12 MPH).
You must shift the transmission to N (Neutral).
Failure to comply with these limits may result in damage to the vehicle.
Long distance towing with a tow truck is prohibited if any wheels are on the ground.

For Xtronic transmission models: When the ignition is switched off, the vehicle automatically shifts to the P (Park) position. You can prevent this using the Neutral Hold function. See
If your vehicle is not fitted with the Neutral Hold function, you will need to have the ignition switched on to shift to N (Neutral). The engine does not need to be running.
NISSAN recommends that towing dollies be used when towing your vehicle or that the vehicle be placed on a flat bed lorry as illustrated.
When towing with the front wheels on towing dollies:
Switch the ignition OFF, then secure the steering wheel in a straight ahead position using a rope or similar device.
