5.10.1.1. Activation of the automatic brake hold function
With the ignition switch in the ON position, press the automatic brake hold switch (1). The indicator light of the automatic brake hold switch (2) illuminates.
When the automatic brake hold function becomes standby, the automatic brake hold indicator (white) illuminates on the Vehicle Information Display.
To use the automatic brake hold function, the following conditions need to be met:
The driver's seat belt is fastened.
The electronic parking brake is released.
The shift lever is not in the P (Park) position (Automatic (DCT) Transmission models).
The vehicle is not parked on a steep hill.
The automatic brake hold function retains the last state even if the engine is restarted.
