7.33.1. System operation
If the system detects that driver fatigue increases or that driver attention is decreasing, the message [Take a break?] appears in the Vehicle Information Display and a chime sounds when the vehicle is driven at speeds above 60 km/h (37 MPH).
In addition, the system (Type A) operates as follows:
(When the system alerts the driver, the Intelligent Driver Alertness Indicator light
(white) will also illuminate.The chime will sound continuously.
To disable the warning, push the scroll dial on the steering wheel.
The system continuously monitors driver attention and can provide multiple warnings per trip.
The system resets and starts reassessing driving style and steering behaviour when the ignition is cycled from the ON to OFF and back to ${1}.
The system will not operate when the Steering Assist system (where fitted) is activated.
